Life As The Taylors | one day at a time…

Well, we haven’t updated this in such a long time, that I thought I would write a quick update right here and right now!

I’m still trying to convince Charissa to post some days…but I can’t seem to get her to do it. :) I’ll add some pictures and we’ll see if you like them!

First off, Charissa got her wisdom teeth taken out!  I’m lucky enough to have good health insurance through ProModel and we didn’t have to pay anything!  That’s was great!

We went down to Las Vegas at the end of October to surprise Charissa’s Dad on his birthday. He had no idea we were coming and was very surprised. Charissa was so excited to see her family again.  She hadn’t seen them since the wedding, so it was really fun for her!  It also happened to be over Halloween weekend, so we decided to stay over the entire weekend (Halloween was on Saturday) and we went to a haunted house in Las Vegas on Halloween night.  It was really fun!  The next day we spent with Charissa’s grandpa at church and then made the trek home. We  drove down on Friday, and drove back on Sunday. It was a quick trip, but was well worth it to see Charissa happy with her family again.

IMG_0577We’ve even been able to make cupcakes from scratch…not just normal cupcakes, but some cupcakes from our Martha Stewart cupcake book that turned out incredible!  See the pictures for proof!

Two thanksgiving dinners and putting up a Christmas tree later, here we are at today.

Post Wedding Adventures

So…we have been doing a lot to get the house in order lately.  Charissa has started school @ BYU.  She changed her major from Exercise Science to Public Health and is loving it a lot more now!  We have been to Bed, Bath & Beyond several times to get household things with all the gift cards and items we had there. We were able to get quite a few much needed items!  Kitchen Aid mixer, shelves, blenders, and other random household items like an ironing board, iron, etc.  On Labor Day, we were able to get out and enjoy the sun a little bit.  We visited Bridal Veil Falls and had some fun in the really cold runoff water.  Then we just relaxed and enjoyed the time off!  See some pictures on our photo page or the slideshow below!

I’m taking the semester off and working to avoid debt and working my side projects as well, including a major one that will be launching this fall!  It’s called MerchMatch and I’ve included a video that gives a hint in a fun way of what MerchMatch is!  Please share with all of your friends!

Wedding Slideshow/DVD

I wanted to share with everyone out there the wedding DVD/Slideshow that was not ever included on our blog for all to see if they were not able to attend the Provo, Utah reception on July 31, 2009.

Since our wedding, we have been to Cancun on our honeymoon and then started to try and get our house in order, while trying to catch up with work (Dustin) and prepare for school (Charissa).  We had another open house in Charissa’s hometown of Newport, OR (we drove all the way there and back!)  Be sure to keep checking our photos page for more and more photo updates!
