Hey all!
This is my first blog post on this site…ever…fun, huh?! So it’s 5 days to our wonderful wedding and we are both super excited! Preparations are all in place, the family is on their way, and the merry making is about to begin!
We just moved into our little place in Provo, and are making it livable. We bought a washer and dryer, table and chairs, matching night stands, and a dresser. I enjoyed watching Dustin use his handyman skills to put the nightstands and dresser together. I offered occasional assistance and advice, but mostly I was just a good cheerleader. My moment of brilliance came when I suggested Dustin use my high heel as a hammer, as we don’t have any tools. He reluctantly took my advice and found that it worked just as well as a hammer:) Yes high heels are a necessary part of a girls life…no one gives us tools as gifts!
The table and chairs are another funny story. The table is metal and white…not too bad but not fancy. The chairs are the ugliest shade of puke green I’ve ever seen! I didn’t want to get them, but Dustin convinced me since they were the cheapest out there…and we’re college students…money does not grown on trees anymore.
So yeah! Things are going great for us and we’re really enjoying fixing up our place! Come see us!!
For those of you who don’t know, we FINALLY found a nice little duplex apartment to live in while we go to school at BYU! It took looking at places every day for a long time (online and in-person) to finally found one that met our needs AND get a good deal! We’re living by Lions Park in Provo (NW Provo) and got a very good deal on the place we’re living in. That should save us a lot of money in the long run!
On top of all of these things, we have moved in the couch, tv, love sac, coffee table, bed, and a lot of Charissa’s stuff, who will be living there until we get married on July 31! However, we are still looking for items like a dresser, bedstands, table & chairs and a washer and dryer for cheap! Let us know if you know of any of these items in decent condition that will be good for us!
We look forward to inviting everyone down to have a BBQ and little party in the backyard when we are more settled down!
